Privacy Policy
This policy explains what StyleSlashed collects when you use styleslashed.com, how we use it, and what choices you have.
StyleSlashed is a curation site. We recommend clothing and link out to the retailers who sell it. We do not sell anything here, we take no payments, and there are no accounts to create. That keeps what we collect very small.

Who we are

What we collect
From the contact form. The name, email address, and message you type in, and only when you choose to send one. Nothing else.
From the newsletter signup. Your email address, if and when you sign up. This feature is not live yet.
Automatically, from our web host. Like every website, our host records standard technical details of each visit: IP address, browser and device type, the pages requested, and the time. We use this only to keep the site running and secure.
To stop abuse of the contact form. When you send a message, we record a one-way scrambled version of your IP address so the form cannot be flooded. It cannot be turned back into your address or linked to your message, and it is erased within an hour.
What we never collect. Payment details, passwords, precise location, or information about you bought from anyone else.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets no cookies of its own and runs no advertising or analytics trackers. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to. If we add analytics later, we will update this policy first.
How we use what we collect
To reply to your message, to send the newsletter if you ask for it, and to keep the site secure and working. We do not use your information for advertising, we do not profile you, and no automated decisions are made about you.
How we share it
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with the services that make this site work: GoDaddy (web hosting and mail delivery) and Microsoft 365 (our email). If we launch the newsletter, we will name the provider here. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights and safety.
Links to retailers
Every piece we feature links to a third-party retailer. Once you click through, you are on their website and their privacy policy applies, not ours. We do not control what they collect or how they use it, and we would encourage you to read their policy. We are not responsible for the content or practices of sites we link to.
How long we keep it
Contact messages stay in our email inbox, not in any database on this site. We keep them for as long as we need to handle your enquiry and for our business records, and no longer than 24 months. Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Server logs are kept for as long as our host retains them.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, and form submissions are emailed to us rather than stored on the website. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.
Your choices and rights
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any email. You can also ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@styleslashed.com and we will respond within the time your state's law allows.
California residents
If you live in California, the CCPA and CPRA give you the right to know what personal information we collect and why, to request its deletion or correction, to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and not to be treated differently for exercising those rights. We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined by California law, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioural advertising. Other states
Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, and a growing number of other states give their residents similar rights of access, correction, and deletion. Whatever state you live in, email us at the address above and we will honour the same requests.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we will post the updated policy on this page and change the effective date above. Significant changes will be flagged on the site.
